What this notice covers
This notice explains website visits, enquiries and initial discussions about our accountancy services. Client engagements involve additional financial, tax, identity and business records. The processing required for a particular engagement, including professional and legal obligations, is explained with the engagement arrangements. This website notice does not replace that client information.
Information we collect
You may give us your name, email address, telephone number, business details and message through a form, email, telephone or chat. Website services may also receive technical information such as an IP address, device and browser details, pages visited and cookie preferences. Please do not send passwords, bank details, identity documents or detailed financial records through the general enquiry form. We will agree a suitable way to receive documents when needed.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
We use enquiry details to answer questions, discuss your needs, arrange a conversation and prepare a proposal. If you are asking us to take steps towards a contract with you, we rely on that contractual basis. For other business enquiries, including correspondence with company representatives, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to requests and managing our practice, balanced against your interests and rights. We also use information where necessary to meet a legal obligation, for example responding to a valid request from an authority. Where consent is required for optional website technologies or marketing, we rely on your consent. An enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to promotional messages.
Providing enquiry details is voluntary, but without enough contact information we may be unable to reply. We do not use the enquiry form to make decisions about you by automated means with legal or similarly significant effects.
Who receives information
Our authorised personnel and service providers may handle information as needed to run the website, communicate with you and administer enquiries. Wix hosts this website, its forms and chat facilities. Usercentrics for Wix provides cookie-consent controls. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims. We do not sell enquiry information.
Storage and overseas processing
Our website providers operate internationally, so information may be stored or processed outside the UK, including in Europe, Israel and the United States. Wix describes its international processing and transfer safeguards in its privacy policy and Data Processing Agreement. These include adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards where applicable. You can ask us for further information about safeguards relevant to your enquiry. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure; please use the agreed document-sharing arrangements for confidential client records.
How long we keep information
We retain enquiry information for the time needed to deal with your request and reasonable follow-up. When deciding whether further retention is necessary, we consider whether a client relationship develops, outstanding questions, the nature of the correspondence and any applicable legal requirements or claims. Client records have separate professional and statutory retention requirements. Contact us for the retention criteria applicable to your records.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies and similar technologies support security and essential website functions. Optional technologies may measure website use or support connected services. Our cookie-consent controls provide information about the technologies detected and let you accept or reject optional categories. You can revisit the cookie settings to change your choices or withdraw consent. Essential technologies needed to provide the service are treated separately. Your browser also lets you delete or block stored cookies; doing so may affect site features. Links to other websites are subject to those websites' own privacy notices.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Contact leanne@lmhaccounts.co.uk to make a request; we may need to check your identity.
Questions and complaints
Please contact Leanne using the details above so we can investigate a concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice when our website or practices change. The date above shows its latest revision.
